英文小故事短篇

Title: The Lost Key

One day, Sarah realized that she had lost the key to her apartment. She searched high and low but couldn't find it anywhere. She even retraced her steps but still had no luck. Feeling frustrated and helpless, she sat down on the curb and wondered what to do next.

Just then, a little girl approached her and asked, "Are you okay?"

Sarah explained her predicament to the girl, who listened intently. After a moment of thought, the girl said, "I know someone who can help you."

The girl led Sarah to an old man sitting on a bench nearby. The old man smiled at them and asked, "What seems to be the problem?"

Sarah told him about her lost key, and the old man said, "Don't worry. I know a locksmith who can help you. Let me give him a call."

Within minutes, the locksmith arrived and quickly opened the door to Sarah's apartment. Sarah was grateful for the little girl's help and the old man's kindness. She realized that sometimes, the most unexpected people can offer the most help in times of need.

From that day on, Sarah made sure to keep a spare key in a safe place, just in case.

Title: The Lost Wallet

One day, John was walking down the street when he realized that his wallet was missing. He searched his pockets and his bag but couldn't find it. He retraced his steps and asked people if they had seen it, but no one had. John felt frustrated and worried because his wallet contained his ID card, credit cards, and some cash.

Just when he was about to give up, he received a call from a stranger who said that he had found John's wallet on the sidewalk. John was relieved and grateful. He asked the stranger where they could meet, and the person suggested a nearby café.

When John arrived at the café, he saw a middle-aged man holding his wallet. The man smiled and handed the wallet to John, saying that he had noticed it lying on the ground and picked it up. John thanked the man and offered to pay him a reward, but the man refused, saying that he was just doing what anyone should do.

John felt touched by the man's honesty and kindness. He realized that there were still good people in the world who would help others without expecting anything in return. From that day on, John made a promise to himself to be more careful with his belongings and to pay it forward by helping others whenever he could.
